Great Extension for Free

this is an easy to use extension that works well with relaying email through a 3rd party SMTP mail server. Initially, I tried it with Gmail, although it works, using Gmail for Magento store isn't optimal, so I switched to using Mailchimp's Mandrill paid service, it works a lot more reliably, and emails no longer gets filtered as junk mail. Thank you for the wonderful extension.

This is a good extension!

Easy to set up, it is an expected function. The only thing I spend on one point is to notice that you need to set up the sender's email address. I am using AWS's SES, but in testing, it should use an address that exists properly.

This extension is easy to install and setup. Before I got this extension, the emails were going to spam folders, but this problem is fixed thanks to this module. All emails are delivered to inboxes. Also, I wasn't able to get the contact form until I installed this extension. This is a great extension.

Good SMTP module, bad core module

The SMTP module works as expected. The configuration is clear and can be easily set up. The good thing about the module is that it works with composer and is easy to install and update. I'm less happy with the Magaplaza core module where the SMTP module depends on. The module has some nasty side effects which have absolutely nothing to do with the SMTP module, for example, including the full Bootstrap framework, Owl carousel, and magnificent pop-up in the require JS config. This makes your javascript size some extra MB's larger (!) and can result in conflicts. Overall, this is a good SMTP module but the core module should really be refactored for performance improvements.

Never tried others but this plugin meets my requests perfectly. I did not use the presets and it can use Chinese Aliyun Mail Service. Now it's still in the testing process and I will reply more when we run this for a longer period.

Easy and straightforward to install

This module is easy to install and set up. I'm using Office 365 account to send emails and this makes it easy. Thank you so much for offering this extension as free. I forgot to install Sendmail-package first to my Ubuntu server, but Magento error-log solved that problem.

Almost Perfect SMTP Extension

This is a great little extension to configure email sending from Magento. I did encounter an issue using it with Sparkpost, who alter URLs in order to provide engagement tracking (I ended up disabling engagement tracking). My suggestion to Mageplaza to make this a 5 out of 5 extensions is to introduce a paid edition that removes or allows you to custom the branding at the bottom of every email.

Great extension, thanks for keeping it well maintained. We are using with Sendgrid. Solid. Can even replace email catcher since it has logging developer mode (especially when you add ability to resend email in the log view -- feature request).

Good funcionality, works well

One minor bug with sending when no SSL typeset, fixed with a replacement line from the dev branch. It does the job well and sends mail through 3rd party mail servers, not just the major ones.

Excellent Extension

Very easy to install, configure and use. Something that compliments Magento 2 and your outgoing mail server perfectly. We needed a bit of support from Mageplaza, which was nearly instantaneous and got straight to the cause, though it was an issue in the version of Magento2 that we were running and not a reflection on the extension itself.

The Extension Worked Exactly as described!

We were very excited to see that there was an extension available that would solve our Magento 2 issue with outbound emails going to customer's junk mail or spam folder when using Gmail as our email provider. After spending several hours with Google Solutions and our Web Host partner we finally come to the conclusion that we had an outbound SMTP problem when sending mail. We searched for a solution and found the extension right away. Who knew that this would be a must-have extension! I installed flawless and I did set-up in 20sec the Mailjet API credentials. The emails are sent extremely fast. I have my magento2 installed on Google CLoud Platform.

Simple but powerful

The extension integrates seamlessly into Magento 2 environment with an easy installation and configuration. It perfectly does the job with the great benefit to have mail logs. It's a must for every serious operated webshop. After installation all mails were delivered properly, no SPAM issues any more. SMTP made easy from the start, no messing with postfix settings. Since this module is open source, I was able to install using composer, even when my Magento store wouldn't connect to the marketplace after a borked upgrade. Plug in the correct settings and use Gmail to handle my site email, and I was able to stay in contact with my customers, with only about five minutes downtime. Now it's just a permanent fixture, I should have started using this a long time ago. I would recommend this an essential extension to anyone thinking about using Magento as their e-commerce platform. Great Extension + Easy to Use

This plugin is really easy to use and saved us a lot of time and money. We had problems with our server sending the Magento 2 mails over PHP. Mails where getting into spam folders and the euro sign wasn't displayed properly. We tried changing the server configuration and update the DNS, we even went as far as installing a SMTP plugin from Github nothing seemed to work. Then some day's later we got a notification in Magento 2 that Mageplaza had a new SMTP extension. We installed it instantly and set it up within 15 minutes. After that the mails were working fine nothing went into spam box anymore and the euro sign was displayed properly. Awesome Extension.
